Red Dead Redemption si aggiorna su Steam, Rockstart Games Launcher e Epic Games Store.

Il focus di questo nuovo upgrade sono le performance e l’eliminazione di qualche fastidioso problema, primo fra tutti il crash che si verificava al passaggio di API da DX12 a Vulkan.
Quest’ultime, inoltre ricevono le dovute attenzioni in direzione di una maggiore fluidità e performance: su RX 5700 XT dal lancio del gioco, con i medesimi settaggi al massimo livello di preset a 2560×1440 si è passati da circa 40 fps medi a circa 50-55, il che testimonia il lavoro di ottimizzazione che si è fatto.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the game to crash on launch with ‘ERR_GFX_STATE’ due to a corrupted shader cache. Players should no longer need to use -ignorepipelinecache in their launch arguments or to manually delete game files to work around this issue (https://support.rockstargames.com/articles/360040482073/)
  • Fixed several crashes and stuttering issues when using Vulkan on some systems with multiple graphics cards
  • Fixes a crash that occurred when switching between graphics APIs and display modes on some systems
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when changing settings on some systems with integrated graphics
  • Fixed a crash that occurred in Story Mode while running the game in Offline mode from a mapped network drive
  • Fixes several random crashes that occurred during gameplay in Story Mode and Red Dead Online
  • Fixed an issue that may have caused random stalls and stuttering while using DirectX 12 on some systems
  • Fixed an issue that occurred when attempting to run the game on some versions of the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build
  • Fixes several issues with the rendering of lighting, shadows and snow deformation when using Vulkan and Multisample anti-aliasing (MSAA) on systems with multiple graphics cards
  • Fixed several issues with flickering textures and other graphical corruption when using Vulkan on systems with multiple graphics cards
  • Fixed an issue that caused flickering or missing textures on some weapons
